Facelift
The term “facelift” hasn’t always had the most positive connotation, but as more and more patients are speaking about their experiences, the stigma is hopefully waning. A facelift improves the jawline and neck by addressing sagging skin and jowls to provide you with a more youthful look. Dr. Gina can customize a plan and an incision pattern that fits your goals, hairline, and facial structure individually. Often a facelift can be performed with other procedures simultaneously, such as a lip lift, eyelid lift, or brow lift to make a more generalized improvement.
What to Expect
Recovery is typically ten to fourteen days, depending on the extent or combination of procedures performed. As with any surgery, there will be at least some swelling and bruising that usually resolves within two weeks. Most patients report minimal pain during the recovery period. A special support wrap is worn during recovery to minimize swelling and bruising.
Eyelid Lift
Patients who are candidates for eyelid surgery often feel they look tired or fatigued, even after a good night’s sleep, or have dark circles or “bags” under the eyes. This can be due to the presence of excess skin or tissue laxity in the eyelids. Eyelid surgery involves removing the excess skin and sometimes the excess fat in the pads around the eyes.
What to Expect
There is minimal pain following upper-eyelid surgery. Some swelling and slight bruising may occur but should subside over the coming days. Many patients return to work or light activities in two to three days and are ready to be seen in one to two weeks. With lower eyelid surgery there may be some discomfort, but this lasts only a few days. Lower eyelid surgery usually produces some bruising that resolves within one to two weeks. It will be important to protect your eyelids as they heal since they will be especially sensitive to the sun temporarily.

Brow Lift
Often, brow position can change as we age, causing the forehead to look heavier. Many patients think that a facelift will address this issue, however, a facelift only improves the contour of the lower face, jawline, and neck areas. A brow lift may be performed to restore proper brow position while maintaining a natural-looking result.
What to Expect
Brow lift incisions are typically hidden within the hairline. Swelling, pain, and bruising are fairly minimal with Dr. Gina’s approach, therefore most patients can return to work within a week. Regular activity without restrictions can usually be resumed in two weeks.
Injectable Treatments
Injectables consist of neuromodulators, like Botox®, or hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, like RHA® or Restylane®. Dr. Gina also offers the newest neuromodulator with longer-lasting effects called Daxxify™. For patients who prefer a physician injector, Dr. Maccarone is very skilled in creating natural-looking non-surgical results. She has a comprehensive understanding of facial anatomy and pharmaceuticals to choose a plan and products that are best for you.
